Cermet tips:

These premium cermet tips are made from a composite material composed of ceramic and metal giving the blade outstanding properties including superior wear and corrosion resistance. This means the blade provides clean, cool, cutting in stainless steel outlasting traditional carbide tipped saw blades by 15 times. Due to stainless steel being a thick and hard material, heat build-up and pressure is a guarantee so having a blade that provides clean and cool cutting is ideal.

What Are Cermet Tips?

Cermet tips are composed of ceramic and metal materials, combining the best properties of both worlds. The heat resistance and hardness of ceramics, coupled with the metal's ability to undergo plastic deformation, make cermet an ideal choice for demanding cutting tasks.

Beyond stainless steel cutting, cermet is being considered for use in spacecraft shielding due to its remarkable ability to resist high-velocity impacts of micro-meteoroids and orbital debris, surpassing traditional spacecraft materials like aluminium and other metals.

Laser cut slits:

Laser cut slits offer more than just noise reduction during cutting but they also allow for smoother cutting action, optimising the overall cutting performance and enhancing user experience.

Non-stick Pro-Shield coating:

By reducing frictional resistance on the blade surface, this coating minimises heat generation, sticking and corrosion. This ensures a longer lifespan for the blade and helps maintain the cutting efficiency.

Anti-vibration slot resin plugs:

For a smoother and more comfortable cutting experience, the blade is equipped with anti-vibration slot resin plugs. These plugs efficiently absorb vibrations during cutting, reducing operator fatigue and allowing for precise and controlled cuts.

Dual step saw blade technology:

With different tooth sizes or patterns on the cutting edge, the blade can handle various stainless steel materials with ease and precision.

Japanese blade technology:

Renowned for their precision and quality, Japanese blade technology is incorporated into this Austsaw product. This ensures top-notch craftsmanship and reliability, making it a go-to choice for demanding stainless steel cutting tasks.

Cutting Versatility:

The Extreme Stainless Steel Blade is ideal for stainless pipes, stainless square tubing, stainless plates, and stainless rebar. However, it's essential to note that while the blade is suitable for use with #316 grade stainless steel, the blade life may be slightly reduced in this case. Due to its size the 355mm is also able to be resharpened.

Range includes 135mm, 150mm, 165mm, 185mm and 355mm.
